HUFF Realty encourages its sales associates and support staff to participate in community service activities. One such activity conducted by HUFF Realty is a toy drive to benefit the young burn patients at the Cincinnati Shriner's Hospital for Children. For more than ten years each of the HUFF sales offices throughout the Greater Cincinnati area participate in gathering thousands of toys for the young patients at the hospital between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Monetary donations reaching to thousands of dollars have also been generated. The generous contributions from the community have made this a successful outreach year after year. We thank everyone who has donated toys to this worthwhile cause. Their gifts help brighten the days of children who have so many obstacles to overcome. Douser Huff, HUFF Realty's, safety mascot, visits with several children and helps distribute some of the toys.
The Shriners Hospital in Cincinnati is a 30-bed pediatric burn hospital providing comprehensive acute, reconstructive and rehabilitative care to children who are recovering from burns and burn-related injuries. Upon admission, the hospital gives each child several toys that provide entertainment and therapeutic comfort during their treatment. HUFF Realty has become the hospital’s largest toy donor delivering between 2,000 and 3,000 items each year.
The Shriner’s Hospital in Cincinnati is one of 22 facilities in the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children System, a network of hospitals offering specialized orthopedic, spinal cord injury and burn injury care to children. No payment is ever sought or received from the family, the U.S. Government or any third-party payer for services rendered in the hospitals.
